26th October 2011, EWS liveried Class 59 No.59204 makes history for the first time in more than 20 years, a Class 59 was used to power the Fawley to Tavistock Junction/St Blazey fuel service. The train which should have operated west on 25 October 2011 was cancelled at Westbury due to a body being found on the line near Bridgwater. To get fuel west to St Blazey, the train was rearranged to operate on 26th October as 6Z62, 10:15 Westbury to St Blazey. It’s seen here passing Tiverton Junction on route south (Photo: Peter Slater)
